Building Your House

"These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life,
homeowner improvements to your standard of living.
They are foundational words, words to build a life on.
If you work these words into your life,
you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock.
Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house.
It was fixed to the rock.

"But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life,
you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach.
When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards."
~Matthew 7:24-27 (The Message)

Thank you, Lord for leaving this message to me and your people in your living book, the Bible!

'How am I building my house?' Everybody in general has a house, I mean physically. but everyone without any exceptions, is building a house, and this I mean their life!

As the above message asks us indirectly, are you a smart carpenter/builder? or are you a stupid carpenter/builder? which one do you choose to be?

I am certain, with the assumption that everyone is human, then noone likes to be described as a stupid carpenter/builder along the journey of life and at the end of their life. However, much more importantly, if we were to ask the above question to Jesus right now, this moment, regarding ourselves, what would Jesus say about your life?

I pray and hope that you would hear Him saying "Well, done, good and faithful servant! you have been a smart carpenter/builder, keep it up!"
