Warrior God

What kind of God am I trusting?

"The Lord Himself will fight for you.
You won't have to lift a finger in your defense!
~Exodus 14:14

"The Lord is a warrior;
Yes, the Lord is His name!"
~Exodus 15:3

"Each one of you will put to flight a thousand of the enemy,
for the Lord fights for you,
just as He has promised."
~Joshua 23:10

The day was a rough one as I had to battle with maintaining my composure while helping a fellow colleague out of trouble caused by a mistake done by her. In the field that my work is in, it is intriguing sometimes when I think about it that just a minor mistake can cause a big error in the result. I am not really surprised actually because I know how complex the systems can be. Well, I couldn't solve it, at least for now.

I felt bad in a sense that I couldn't really help that colleague but even more so when our customers are actually in the midst of testing the system which I recently enhanced. It was past normal dinner time, that my mentor came to my desk wondering why I was still around. I had to share with him. I could sense his irritation for what the colleague had done to mess the system. He assured me not to worry and it was not my fault at all and was remarking "you shouldn't waste time on this. why are you doing all this? ask her to fix it.". I sensed that he was fighting for me, was defending me in the case that there is a misunderstanding on the cause of the mess.

The above verses reminded me that "the Lord fights for me" for He is my warrior God. And I am at rest, mentally and physically.

Praise be to Him.
