Something struck me anew as I re-read an article on worship. Punctuality. Oh, how it has not been a strength particularly for me. I'm still bordering on marginal in this aspect. Here is the thought I would like to record down.
Being punctual and early to come for worship and fellowship gatherings honor the presence of the Lord, with expectant hearts, that look forward to the meeting up. The focus then shifts from me to God. That God is the guest of honour and not me. The next time we think of letting our guard down to be careless on how we plan ahead and provision time for our various tasks, consider how we may provision adequately in such a way that we would be punctual at the very least.
