Worship is a Response

What do we do when we go to church service? What do we do when we serve in the various ways within the ministries? What do we participate in at work/school? What do we engage in at home? What do we do every single moment of our life?

There is only one over-riding activity. That is worship. One might wonder what worship is. The following is what the dictionary says.

Worship is primarily a response. It is the appropriate response to the revelation of God's Glory. This is the essence of what it means to worship. It must not depend on our ability, our circumstances, our feelings, our emotions. The ability to worship itself is a gift from God. There is only one and only subject and object of our worship. God.

Worship must not be done in a self-serving manner, as to invoke some mystical feelings or religious experience. It is done solely with the attitude of focusing on the subject and object of worship, bringing praise and adoration.
