Faith, Trust, Obedience

I thank God for this night. For it is one night I have been looking forward to. To be fully reconciled back with my sister. We have had quite some disagreements and perhaps even small squabbles over some things the past week or so. It has been a burden that I have been carrying that I wanted to let go and resolve ever since.

I also want thank God for inspiring us with this statement. That I sensed much Godly wisdom in it and at the same time with as much respect to the weaknesses of our humanity. We had a good extended talk over our struggles in our journey of faith and The Spirit impressed upon our hearts very much on faith, trust and obedience. Indeed, the obedience that God calls us to is not one of partiality, but totality and completeness. We often are convicted of certain impressions upon our hearts, but the conviction is not fully realised unless we act upon it to obey, the will of God.

The statement that was inspired was this, it is one of the best one-liners that I have heard in a long time. "Conviction is a call to obey".

"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."
~ John 16:13 (NIV)

Amen Lord Jesus, I hear your calls to obey you increasingly in my life.
