Tweety World

I'm so glad to discover that John Piper is on Twitter. He is the only one I'm 'following' in twitter. And I don't intend to use Twitter for any other purpose but to continue to extend my funnel of God's Truth flowing. I'm also careful to say 'following' as to not mean that he is the one I'm exactly following, ultimately. No, John Piper has been instrumental in teaching me God's Word and helping me to see the deeper truths of God. So, No, I'm not following him because he is my favourite author, book-writer, philosophically inclined thinker, and certainly not, idol.

I must agree with him on the fact that in this media-saturated world, there are 2 kinds of responses that we may have with regards to the rising emergence of media. Media have such extensive influence on how we live and shape the way we think. The first kind of response is to avoid it as it is heavily contaminated with worldliness. The second kind of response is to fight, as in the world, but not of the world, to contribute efforts to increase the saturation of God's Word in media. My lean of response, echoing John Piper, is towards the second.

"The sovereign Lord of the earth and sky
Puts camels through a needle’s eye.
And if his wisdom see it mete,
He will put worlds inside a tweet."
~ John Piper on Tweeter

This is one of the primary reasons why I have been putting effort to form this habit of journaling, especially on this medium of blog. More importantly, journaling is NOT the end of this blog, but rather, it is to make much of Him (to glorify Him) as I become more intimately acquainted with Him each step of the way.
