I thank You Father for giving me the opportunity to know a new group of people since Aug 2008. They are my fellow brothers and sisters from your local body of the church. Their smiles, laughters, joy, peace, even sadness and griefs have been such an edifying part of my life. Their commitment to be accountable to one another is admirable. I thank You for growing them (us) through the past year. That each one has matured in certain aspects of their lives in their walk of faith. Truly Your touch is evident in their hearts and minds. Continue the work You've begun as You bring it each to a finish when that Day comes.
This night as each of us has shared the things we've learnt from last year and Your very handiwork in our lives, may each one grows from strength to strength, abiding in Your Holy Word always, putting Your will above ours, purposing Your Glory as the end of all we do.
One verse struck me as one of the sisters shared. A sentence that I have heard and hidden in my heart closely.
"Watch your life and doctrine closely.
Persevere in them, because if you do,
you will save both yourself and your hearers."
~1 Timothy 4:16 (NIV)
May we watch our lives and persevere all the more so as the Day approaches. God be praised.
